Welcome to Swartz Creek Art in the Park

The Swartz Creek Kiwanis Club, Swartz Creek Area Art Guild and Swartz Creek GFWC Women’s Club proudly present Art in the Park Art Festival to Swartz Creek, Genesee County and surrounding communities -- an event promoting the awareness of, and encouragement for all to partake in, the wonderful world of art.

Whether you are artist or patron, please use the information on this site to learn what you need to know to be able to get the most out of our event.

What is it?
AITP 2024 is the fourteenth installment of what is becoming one of the most successful annual art fairs in Mid-Michigan. It will be an outdoor event. Patrons can expect the finest arts and crafts, local food, and engaging children's activities while enjoying the many comforts, joys, and experiences of Swartz Creek's beautiful Elms Park.

Elms Park
Elms Park is Swartz Creek's premier destination for outdoor recreation, sports, and solitude. It mixes its natural ambiance with an urban location to make for one of the best outdoor venues for an art fair. Regionally located minutes from the I-69 and I-75 interchange, you will find it co-mingling with neighborhood residences and Swartz Creek's east side local business district at the Miller Road exit.

What's the deal for artists?
The Art in the Park Committee is inviting arts and fine crafts of the highest quality to participate in our annual Art in the Park event and enjoy a day in one of Genesee County's best recreational areas. Artists are invited to submit applications to the jury selection committee. Please click the CALL TO ARTISTS link above to make your application.

This event will be advertised heavily, not only in Genesee and Shiawassee Counties, but throughout the State. There will be multiple ads in the Flint Journal and local newspapers, as well as repeat radio and television ads. The TV spots will also be available on several websites.  Last year we started an aggressive campaign on Facebook, and we intend to continue that this year.  There will also be several large street signs throughout the community during the week of the event, as well as directional signs to help folks not familiar with the area find the park.
